Prof. Dr. Franz X. Bogner ist Lehrstuhlinhaber an der Universität Bayreuth und erforscht unter der Dachmarke Science Communication innovative Themen der Biodiversität. Seine zweite Berufung ist der Naturschutz, was ihn in zahlreichen Luftbildbänden zum Botschafter eines konsequenten Naturschutzes werden ließ.

Franz X. Bogner hat als Luftbildfotograf bereits eine große Zahl an Bildbänden mit Luftbildern aus Deutschland, Österreich, Griechenland, England, den USA sowie Ecuador publiziert.
